I'm glad that you are learning how to "drive" your brain better using "mindful-ness" techniques. Self-control and self-discipline are virtues, and they are important in daily living, and useful in keeping the brain focused.

One reminder to you, you have a 20 year old brain now. It is different in both size and function from the brain of a child, or a young adolescent, or even an 18 year old brain. Somewhere around 19-22 the human brain gets one more growth spurt, particularly in the frontal lobes. This explains why many with ADHD seem to "out-grow" it in the early 20's. It may also explain why mindful techniques are helping you so much at this point in your life. They may not have been nearly as helpful to you just two or three years ago.

One of the reasons for the growing popularity of EEG Biofeedback training is that it teaches pretty much the same kinds of self-control (or mindful-ness) but by giving the subject "feedback" the learning is greatly enhanced and is much more efficient (the subject learns much faster). You might see if someone on your campus has such equipment, as you would probably have a great time with it and enjoy the results that you achieve from it.
