What would be the downside to using Attend and focalin XR as we begin the
school year/ My 7 year old has textbook combined type ADHD and cannot
control himself. It is important to help him get off to the right start
with friends and teachers. HE CAN LEARN on medication. I wish I had had
the summer to just use ATTEND. It makes sense to feed the brain with
vitamins, minerals and other nutrients while he is still growing.

it. The last question regarding types of adhd behavior. My son would be
classified as severe but has anxiety problems - fears of bad quys. He
cannot sleep alone at first and is always talking about them. On the
other hand, he is athletic happy and never stutters.

There's no real "downside" to using Attend along with the Focalin XR. Just start with one
capsule for about a week, then up to two per day for a week or two, and see how things
are going. Use the diet interventions as best as you can as well.

What you might consider, though, since the Focalin may be doing its job, is trying
Extress + Focalin, rather than the Attend. The Extress may do a lot to help with the
anxiety problems. It really is an excellent supplement for anxiety and temper outbursts
in kids. It won't interfere with the Focalin. He could try 2-4 per day for a couple of
weeks and see if the anxiety decreases. If it works well, then consider adding in Attend.
