Help for 14 Year Old ADHD Girl
I run a small business and I have a worker who is 40 odd and has adhd. she also has a daughter who is adhd and is aged 14.
this daughter can't read or write and is lost in the public system and is getting bullied at school she recently tried to commit suicide and needs help. Her mother has no idea what to do as she is just as bad as daughter.
they both take ridlin and was wondering if you could send me some information in the mail about help and your programm, and any advice so i can pass it on to the mother.

Thank you for your concern for your employee. It sounds like a very difficult situation.
In general, ADHD does not cause children to be unable to learn to read or write. It is
likely that there are other problems occurring, either along with the ADHD, or instead of
ADHD but with some of the same symptoms.
I would encourage the mother to press the local school system to test the daughter for
learning problems, to teach the daughter how to read and write, and to protect the
daughter from bullies. These are not unreasonable requests to make to public schools.
Perhaps a lawyer may be needed to press the point home.
I would also encourage the mother to make sure that her daughter is seeing a physician on
a regular basis, and a counselor or pastor or youth worker with whom she can talk about
her situation.
