Can this medication (MPH Ritalin) cause a false positive for cocaine in the system? I have read that it does, but cannot locate the website.

I am supposing that your question is about Ritalin. If so, my answer is that I don't
really know, and I've never heard that before. They are certainly similar, but not the
same, and I would suppose that a good lab should be able to tell the difference between
cocaine and MPH (as they should be able to tell the difference between cocaine and
caffeine, which is also a stimulant).

Doing a quick web search, I see that some sites report that MPH Ritalin can cause a false positive for amphetamine use, which would make more sense than a false positive for cocaine use.

But, please, if you should find out information on this, please let me know. I would be
very interested in knowing more about this if it is true.
