Parent's Podcast Library

One by one we are adding sound files in a podcast format from semiars and workshops led by our Clinical Editor Dr. Doug Cowan. We are just learning how to edit them from perhaps 60 minutes down to about 40 minutes for easier listening. We hope that the programs are helpful to you and your family.

First we will upload the lectures that we have from Dr Doug's "Navigating in the New World" seminars. This six-week class is for parents and teens, and is held each year at Country Oaks Baptist Church where Dr Doug is better known as "Pastor Doug" and is the Pastor of Family and Student Ministries. They cover a wide range of important topics to help prepare our next generation for success as adults.

To get the most out of the first lecture it would be a good idea to learn more about the study: "Hardwired to Connect." It really is a "ground-breaking" study. You can learn more:

We will also be uploading some of Dr Cowan's old radio programs. From 1991 until 2001 Dr Cowan hosted two programs: "Family Matters" and "Your Family's Health". These were daily programs that aired on KERI in California's central valley. We have found some of those old programs in a digital format that are suitable as podcasts. We hope that they will also be valuable to you and your family.
